To me they are just another one of those ‘throwaway’ toys that are just seen as a gimmick and would only last a week after being given to your little boy or girl.

Well, I must admit that after seeing nephew playing with his, after 6 months, I was very surprised so I investigated to find out more.

It seems that a children’s digital camera can help with a child’s development. Apparently it makes them a lot more creative, which helps to develop their senses and enables their brains to develop too.

My nephew is never seen without the beloved digital camera and although only 8 years old seems to be keeping it in very good condition. And it is also water resistant so even if he uses it when playing in the rain… yes he even takes it outside into the rain.. it will still work.

It looks like these latest gadgets are catching on and the makers are already improving original versions after feedback from the growing list of child users.

Although there are many more ways which can still help with the development of a child. I have to admit that a digital camera can help a child gain some valuable insight into a subject which could come in useful as they grow older.
